For years I've wished that Buddhists would do their chanting in English. I mean, if you're chanting to remind yourself of the dhamma, it's gotta be in a language you understand, to be effective, right?

I thought if I put sutta texts to music (the heartbeat of not just music, but of life itself), I might help folks learn and remember the dhamma.

I've built a radio station that broadcasts 24/7 that allows you listen whenever you need the magic of music, with a dhamma twist.

All the lyrics are directly from the Buddhist Pali Canon suttas. I am not adjusting the words, but plan on using the actual texts. That means I'm not going to change a word here and there to make them rhyme better. You can be confident that you're learning the actual text of the suttas.

All the songs were made with artificial intelligence, so don't go crediting me with being a musical genius. In fact, being a drummer myself, the joke other musicians used to tell around drummers to insult us is; "What do you call a guy that likes to hang around musicians? ... a drummer." But I am here to tell you that drummers are musicians too.

The goal of the songs is not to make you a sutta scholar. The goal is to create little catchy snippets of sound / thoughts that you can eventually use in your daily life. If you are singing a little tune based on dhamma when your walking down the street, that is something healthy in your mind. Remember, the goal of meditation is to help you retrain how your mind works. That means what you think about is important. Think of these songs as little healthy mind snacks you can feast on any time of day to help. Or... think of them as vitamins for your mind to make sure you get the recommended daily allowance of dhamma.
